After finding these in the shed yesterday I decided to do a spin off from SicilyScene.blogspot.com's " What is or where is this?"
I'll give you a hint...they are not for lighting. My Dad's had these for decades...and I mean decades... One is blue tinted and the other is green tinted both with lots of air bubbles.

I think they are wasp traps you put something sweet in the bowl bit and hang them from a tree or some place, then the wasps fly up in the little hole underneath and get trapped in the sticky goo....

Oh my, guess what I saw in Sainsburys this afternoon.... and I WANT one....... go on guess.. guess..... ya cant? well, I'll tell ya.. only a bloody glass wash trap a little like in your photo...... only not old ones.... Im going to go and get a couple next week, I should of got them today but the Pod was screaming for his dinner and Sprite had just piddled all over the cheese aisle lol so I sorta left me trolly half full or half empty however you look at it.....
But I am soooooo gonna go back in the next few days to get one....
Cos, its a sign... a bloody sign I tell ya lmfao
