Merry Christmas Everyone !

This is me from Idaho last year. Wishing I was there and not here in a grey California rain storm! Makes ya just wanna stay home under the blankie watching the boob tube with some hot chocolate...yep that's what I'm gonna do...until I have to head for work.

Should I Stay or Should I Go

I'm sitting here in sunny California right now...but next week after Christmas I'm scheduled to fly out for a week in north Idaho. That means... when I leave San Jose,CA I make a connection in Seattle and then on to my final stop in Spokane, Washington before my hour plus drive up north. The current airport conditions in Seattle's airport just reported the airport is now letting passenders fly out that have been stranded for THREE days !!! Yipes...

There's been only one time before, in eight years of flying up north, that I've been stranded because of the snow...I was with DH at the time but now I'm flying solo...so I know I must keep my cell phone charged and ready to make either hotel arrangements or switch airlines for flights that will get me up there when the weather clears. On the other hand... I can just stay in Seattle and visit my son and granddaughter then go back to California. I hate the unknowing.

Earthquake ! California!

Wee-hoo ! Small earthquake just rolled on by, probably about a 3 on the Richter scale...more updates later....

North to a White Christmas

Ah...having not been to Idaho in three weeks I've become home sick...I never thought I'd hear those works out of my mouth...well, in my mind. I'm beginning to feel like a wayward wanderer, a displaced soul...It's been hard to NOT consider California my home... but now it's just not where I want to be sometimes. Too crowded, smoggy, dirty and nasty people....especially at work. I won't be leaving until the 31st, just in time to ring in the New Year! Whoo Hoo!

I'm considering looking for work in Idaho. I'll most likely take a huge cut in pay but will relish in the fact that I will probably have a more simple life and want for less. The only thing holding me back is my parents...they aren't spring chickens and since I am "the nurse" and no one has offered to take care of their medical issues and the fact that I have this inborn Catholic guilt I have decided to hold out in Cali... for now.

I'm currently taste testing a batch, another batch, of my Limoncello ! Surprisingly it tastes as good as the first. Boy, that 100% proof vodka it's made with sure hits ya straight away! With that said I need to stop typing...too many typos.

Limoncello !

Currently in California.....
Nestled between my home grown frozen cherries is my third batch of Limoncello I've made this year...all ready to go for Christmas gifts... I made them with green lemons off our tree, 100 proof vodka, water and sugar. It tastes pretty darn smooth if I so say so myself!

Ouestion: If the rinds were green why did it still come out yellow?
